Do I need an account or a paid plan?

No. Nodify Calendar and local vaults are free and do not require an account.

You need an account and a paid plan only for Nodify Cloud. See Set up Nodify Cloud.

Can I use Nodify Calendar offline?

Yes. With a local vault, you can create and edit tasks, events, and schedules, run autocomplete, and receive reminders while the app is running.

Cloud vaults need an internet connection to sync changes and receive updated placements from server-side autocomplete. See Local and cloud data.

What is the difference between a task, an event, and a schedule slot?

A task is work you want to complete. An event is a commitment at a specific time. A schedule slot defines when autocomplete may place tasks assigned to that schedule.

Why does a task not appear on my calendar?

Check that autocomplete is enabled for the task, a schedule is assigned, and that schedule has slots with enough available time. Also check that the vault is selected in the calendar filter in the left sidebar.

Does installing Nodify Calendar on another device transfer my data?

Local vaults stay on the computer where they are stored. Installing the app on another computer does not transfer them.

To use the same data across devices, use a cloud vault with Nodify Cloud. See Moving to a new computer.

Can I connect Nodify Calendar to another calendar or task manager?

Nodify Calendar does not currently connect to external calendars or task managers. Nodify Cloud syncs your Nodify vaults across devices, but does not connect them to other calendar services.

Can I move a local vault to Nodify Cloud later?

Yes. You can move a local vault to Nodify Cloud with its existing contents.
