Vaults FAQ

Find answers to common questions about local and cloud vaults.

Can tasks in one vault use a schedule from another vault?

No. A task can only use a schedule from the same vault. Events also affect task planning only within their own vault, even when you display several vaults together on the calendar.

Where are new items created?

When you create an item from Tasks, Events, or Schedules in the right sidebar, it belongs to the vault selected there.

When you create a task, event, or schedule slot directly on the calendar, you can choose which vault it belongs to in the creation panel. Your default vault is selected initially, but you can select another one before saving.

Switching vaults in the right sidebar does not change your default vault. To change it, open the vault in Settings → Vaults and select Set as default.

Does hiding a cloud vault stop it from syncing?

No. Turning off Visible in Settings → Vaults hides the vault from the vault selectors. Its data stays on the device, and syncing continues while the device is connected and cloud access is active.

Does a local copy stay connected to the original cloud vault?

No. Make a local copy creates an independent vault with the data currently shown on your device. Later changes to either vault do not affect the other.

The original cloud vault remains available and continues syncing across your connected devices.
